  • Priced per boat, split across your group
  • One to four days, from Waisai or Sorong
  • Run with licensed local boat owners

Itineraries

Which package fits your trip?

Our four most-booked itineraries. Each is chartered per boat and quoted for your dates and group size.

1–6 guests

Piaynemo Half-Day Hop

Ask for price

Half day · ~5 hrs

The Piaynemo stairway for the lagoon panorama, then one reef snorkel and Pasir Timbul if the tide allows.

Most booked

Pianemo + Sandbar Full-Day

Ask for price

Full day · ~8 hrs

The Pianemo karst maze, the Pasir Timbul sandbar at low tide, and three reef snorkels with lunch.

Boat only

Two-Day West Waigeo Explorer

Ask for price

2 days · 1 night

Day one the Pianemo cluster, day two Friwen Wall and the calmer northern reefs. Homestay extra.

Boat only

Four-Day Island Circuit

Ask for price

4 days · 3 nights

The southern karst, the northern walls, and room for manta-season stops when conditions line up. Homestay extra.

We quote per trip rather than publish a fixed rate, because the number moves with fuel, season, route distance and boat availability. Send your dates and group size and we will come back with a written quote in IDR. We never guarantee manta sightings — they follow the plankton, not our schedule.

The conservation permit is a government-set fee, not ours — around IDR 1,000,000 per person at the foreign rate as of June 2026. You pay it on arrival and it funds local reef management. We tell you the current rate before you book so there are no surprises at the jetty.

The Pasir Timbul sandbar at low tide, Raja Ampat

Per boat, not per person

You charter the whole boat and split the cost across your group, so the per-person price drops as the group grows. Two travellers on the Pianemo full-day pay far more each than six on the same boat. That is why we ask your group size first.

A group of six splits the same boat six ways, so the per-person figure lands well below what a pair would each pay on that identical trip. Tell us how many are travelling and we will show you the split for your own group.

Every quote is for the boat only and excludes permits, flights and lodging, which we list separately so you can see what is ours and what is not.

Timing

When should you book?

There are a limited number of licensed boats, and weekends fill first.

  1. 01

    October to April

Calmest seas and clearest water. The busiest window, so book earliest.

  2. 02

    June to September

Stronger wind and swell on exposed crossings. Some reef stops get swapped for sheltered ones on the captain's call.

  3. 03

    Two to four weeks ahead

That is the lead time we suggest for peak season, whatever month you pick.

Ready to lock in a date?

Tell us your travel dates, group size, and whether you lean toward viewpoints or snorkeling. We will send a written quote in IDR with the day's exchange rate and the current permit fee. No deposit pressure, no padded extras.
